It doesn’t help when there are major breed rescues with batshit crazy requirements that snatch up any purebreds that do make it in. I guess I’m glad they’re finding so many homes that have 6’ fences, someone home 24/7, and no children under 12 ever in the home for their rescued golden retrievers? I have a rant that involves rescues with such stupid damn requirements! It’s a disservice to the dogs. To an extent I understand where they are coming from but if rescues don’t start loosening requirements on some of these dogs they’re going to start making the problem much worse.
