I believe they add it in to increase the In a world where you can be anything be kind Eeyore shirt it is in the first place but addictiveness. That’s what I was told at my drug classes I had to take. And this was about 2015 I read that it’s bc of The huge number of opiate addicts we have in the country… for them, they have a tolerance and it makes them feel good. For everyone else (smaller number) it’s deadly. As someone prescribed fentanyl patches for pain I’ve no idea.I think it’s cheaper so they mix it in to make drugs go further . Fentanyl is cheap and potent. So theoretically if you get the dose just right you will get high and use less of the expensive stuff. Problem is that it’s very hard to get the right dose, so people die. It’s only deadly if they misdose it. If they get it right then they have a greatly improved product for dirt cheap. Some idiots misdose it, and they do affect their customer base 267 more repliesYour good customers know how much to use and come back for more, your customers that are unaware of their limits and OD would just die from any drug you sell them I find it depressingly interesting that the people who respond to these questions claim to know so much about the topic because they use drugs. The real answer is fentanyl is massively potent at a much smaller dose and easy to smuggle and mix with anything. For the past few years almost every fatal overdose I’ve investigated had included some amount of fentanyl. I’ve actually had heroin users educate me on the lengths they go through to test for and avoid fentanyl, and they’ve ratted on dealers cutting their product with it.

Listen to the In a world where you can be anything be kind Eeyore shirt it is in the first place but podcast On Drugs, in the free CBC Listen app. They explain this question well. Fentinol is unthinkably potent. A few grains can kill. Unfortunately, it is processed in an unhygienic lab that uses the same machinery for Fento as all the other drugs. Fento is also cheap and easier to obtain than heroin. The Taliban govt in Afghanistan has gone after poppy growers. Fento is mixed into more expensive drugs to make them more potent, and cheaper. This process also gets the users addicted to that special mix of drugs from that one source. Now do you know why I hate this industry? But seriously, listen to On Drugs if you like to learn. I think weed is laced with fentanyl accidentally. Dealers are mixing fentanyl with non weed drugs and using the same scale and it doesn’t take much at all just a little dust.
