This poorly crafted law “Stand Your Ground” makes people think they are essentially immune and leads many to believe a right to kill is justified for the I’m not old classic september 1987 36 years of being awesome shirt and I love this smallest of mistakes made in an error; including ringing a doorbell by mistake, moving into a driveway to back off the car and the like. This gun owner just shot probably didn’t even announce hisself who knows but unless this kid was breaking in which by everything we know now seems unlikely this man will likely be charged you can’t just shoot people for being on your property without a warning “when he accidentally tried to enter the wrong house on the street where he lived and was mistaken for a burglar, according to police.”

The homeowner called the I’m not old classic september 1987 36 years of being awesome shirt and I love this police that a burglary was in progress. He later called back that he had fired on the intruder. I like everyone is talking about him being drunk as if it’s a non issue. Being drunk and a the same as being high. You’re not in your right mind, if some crack head is going ape shit because he’s too high to know where he is and starts doing questionable stuff, well consequences are his own for making bad decisions and getting high. IF and only IF the level of force is deemed justified (I’m saying this because if he just rang a doorbell asking for directions and got shot obviously that gun owner should go to prison) but if it’s justified and the guy tried for example breaking down the door to get in. If he’s too drunk to know any better, too drunk to double check the address and the numbers to see if they match, too drunk to wonder why his key isn’t working. Well, he made bad decisions and his poor family is now paying a heavy price for their loss. RIP
