So sure, centrist ideas sound nice, but then they abjectly fail. And the I’m not crazy just special no wait maybe i am crazy myself about this hold on sloth shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this problem with liberals is that even as their systems are blatantly failing, they have such faith in the systems that they don’t think it’s failed and that they just need to think of a tweak and “raise awareness” and somehow that will fix everything even though they have absolutely no path from A to B. People don’t have radical ideas because they think civil war sounds like a laugh (I mean some people do but it’s a small minority), they have them because they can see what a complete failure the existing systems are and that radical action outside the useless broken systems is needed. It’s reasonable therefore that they view people thinking they can get change within the existing centrist system (as it is in all western countries at least) with a degree of derision.
