I don’t particularly trust many of these polls. For the IM bess Essential T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this last several cycles, they’ve been really off. In the case of Trump, they have seriously underestimated his support among the public. Among the sort of primary voter that usually gets polled, of course, his support is lower. Among those who get their butt over there and vote, it’s much higher. That is why he underperformed in polls before the primaries in 2016. Your average working-class white man loves Trump. Your average middle-class suburban white woman might not like what he says, but she will vote for him. He has a much larger base of support among hispanic/latin people than a lot of liberals want to believe. In Flordia, Texas, and a few other states, he got a larger share of their vote than any other Republican candidate before him. He got a larger share in 2020 than he did in 2016. He’s not going anywhere. I don’t care if DeSantis raised a ton of money – Jeb Bush did too and he still got clowned.

As for Biden, the IM bess Essential T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this problem the Democratic party has is its leadership refuses to step aside. They have not groomed anyone to come after them. The reason their field is so pitiful is none of these people have been trained or mentored. If you look in the past, they always nurtured their talent. Time is linear, you aren’t going to be around forever. I’m not sure why people today seem unable to grasp that, but party leaders in the past did. Tip O’Neil famously mentored the people under him. Pelosi? Nope. Even presidential candidates were “spotted” and groomed years before they ran. There are much stronger candidates than Biden – Seth Moulton immediately comes to mind. There’s a man who forewent going to Harvard Business, going to wall street, and making tons of money to join the Marines. I’d start grooming that one right away. He’d be on the Sunday shows all the time. The GOP has a very similar problem – and that’s part of the reason why Trump got through.
