Because they are (for the most part), quite removed from their original cultures, which doesn’t mean they don’t have one but rather its boundaries are blurried. There is no “white American culture”- large country with a large population we have tons of little ones. Your not a “white American” you’re from Louisiana, and have your own accent separate from an American accent, and slightly different than a general southern one, or you are a new Yorker. Or you’re from Baltimore. I live south of Philly so I hear jawn a lot. I know a yinzer from rural Pittsburgh even from within pennselvania. Umm, Baseball, Football, Fourth of July, Hollywood, Ford cars, hispanic influence, etc. All of those things have influenced and created an American culture. So that doesn’t make sense. All countries took time to be able to create a “Culture” and even though ours is fairly new, doesn’t mean we don’t have one. So stupid.

Haha Racism. Plain and simple. It’s no deeper than that. It’s an attempt at belittling and ultimately erasing an entire spectrum of identities. There definitely is culture but it is so removed from its roots I think. The culture is corporate and bought and sold. Doesn’t seem authentic. Because the real “American” culture is that of the native Americans. The “modern” culture of America is a mix from European nations from where the colonizers and land-thief came from, plus the culture from African slaves. All the dance, folk songs, food, were invented later (19th century onwards) by modifying and mixing older European culture. Cus of stereotypes. When people glorify and celebrate POLITICIANS like it’s a religion there’s not much else to really view other than 0 culture It’s very apparent what the culture is to those of us not fitting the description lol; but the only time I’ve experienced ppl denying it exists is from people in it. They seem to often get irate when you point out THEIR way isn’t the only way (or even the most sensible way or the way some of us like doing things)
