Expectations? It’s more traditional than western worlds but financial situations can place both partners in long work hours. This brings a more open-minded as well as focus view of what they want (or what they think they want) in many aspects of life. This could come up as forceful or too direct, but that is for you to decide. This is still a very traditional country, and men here mostly have a very traditional way of thinking. Some would be more open about something than others. But most will operate on the line of stable loving family with kids (1 wife, 2 kids). I understand that you are from a foreign country, from which i dont know, but men who can communicate in English expect a level of commitment in date as well as in relationship more than normal Vietnamese (partly because of all the standard as well as information they gathered by being able use English effectively). This is the broadest way i could group a certain kind of people who are like the person you are describing that i could personally relate to.
