Dude is just lazy & entitled. Probably expected you to make him breakfast & give a bonus blowie as reward for pretending to try. I am zero tolerance on this “gurlz are better at life skills so whatever” bull shyte. Go back home to your mommy & daddy if they apparently aren’t done raising you. If it was just not being able to cook, that’d be one thing.. But that is clearly more than just not being able to cook. Leaving their crap all over the I’ll be mellow when I’m dead by weird al yankovic clasisc shirt and by the same token and place and not being able to clean up after themselves is pure laziness. If you can’t even figure out how to turn on an oven, that is just willful ignorance of life. It’s not some magical technology… Sometimes things get burnt while learning, but this sounds like they didn’t even try. In a day and age where you can find how to cook basically anything on youtube and everyone has a phone with the ability to view said videos…

I didn’t have to read past this to know he’s taking advantage of you. If he showed you he could cook on your birthday, it would be a slippery slope to him having to eventually take care of himself. I think your ex was really dialing up his incompetence level so you’d have no choice but to take care of him. Imo, the I’ll be mellow when I’m dead by weird al yankovic clasisc shirt and by the same token and only thing you did wrong was not kicking his ass out sooner. Coming from a man, you’re completely justified. So you told a guy you know can’t cook to cook and then got upset when he fucked it up? What did you expect? Why would you ever expect someone who can’t do something to be able to do it without someone to guide them. I don’t care how well you laid out the ingredients and all, you shouldn’t have been surprised. If i told someone who knows nothing about working on cars to replace the starter and just let them at it i would 100% expect them to fail even with YouTube and tools laid out for them, if i went on to chastise them on how useless they are i would definitely be an asshole.
