Now have fun discoverying how many other products are contaminated. The ban, with a few exceptions, should extend to the If you don’t like San Fransico 49ers merry kissmyass santa claus shirt and I love this production and use of an entire class of chemicals. I agree that it shouldn’t replace spaces that can actually have grass. That is a simple no brainer. But it’s equally stupid to ban something (meaning people will just get it black market etc) when you could easily fix the problem with incentives and education rather than blanket bans. Furthermore, there is a time and a place for fake grass. I have a garden that is mostly natural grass, but part of our garden is the top of our garage roof. It won’t hold the weight of waterlogged top soil so natural grass is a no go in that corner. We have put down fake grass on that small section of the garden and it’s fabulous. It blends in perfectly with the real grass and keeps our garden more open for the children, dogs, cats etc to play in. Yes! It looks horrible, its bad for the environment, why are we removing space for perfectly good grass and putting plastic in its place. But also it retains so much heat you can’t even step on it or sit on it to enjoy your garden in the summer.

I am fervently against fake grass, but one of my neigbours has it, and ome day I asked about it. She has fake grass so her profoundly disabled son who is in a wheelchair can get out into the If you don’t like San Fransico 49ers merry kissmyass santa claus shirt and I love this garden. She said that often (before they replaced the grass) he was confined to the small area of patio in their garden and that putting in the fake stuff has allowed him the freedom to get all the way around their garden, while still allowing a safe place for her other children to play things like football. Having seen the young man next door enjoying being outside and seeing the difficulties he has had going in his wheelchair on grass in other places I now think that a blanket ban is not reasonable, in exactly such situations as this.
