I haven’t used a food service app in quite a while now. In the beginning it was pretty reasonable. I liked being able to use my credit card for a lot of local places that either didn’t deliver or wouldn’t take a card over the phone. It hit a point where the fees were just OUTRAGEOUS though. In a few instances it was literally doubling the cost of my order. So many places during the pandemic figured out how to do it themselves Uber eats driver have more class. Dd drivers don’t even need to go through criminal background checks. That’s the problem. That’s why dd drivers are ratchet. Well I think this is CRAZY…. You never know WHO or WHAT is delivering your food…. OR if you’re the driver…. What kind of whack job you’re delivering to. There is no personal contact to verify you’re suitable for human interaction from the time you apply to the time the greenlight you to handle their food unsupervised. The type of people who can’t hold down even simple jobs due to enormous personality flaws still get a clean shot at all the delivery apps. And only after a lot of repeated bad feedback will the apps do anything about it. So basically every person has several free shots to steal food, harass customers, and create absolute nightmare experiences before they’re deactivated. And they can do this on every app.

I had a clearly unhinged guy make a scene and yell at some worker at Chipotle over how long he had been waiting.
