The financial situation does worry me, especially as I try to establish a career. In france though the If You Can Read This You Are Fishing Too Close Vintage T-Shirt Also,I will get this tax is so excrutiating that I’d rather the more free for all nature of things in the UK, even in it’s current fucked up state theres more opportunities available I’d say. Workers rights are super important but here in France its created a situation where incompetant people can’t be fired (hence the nightmare of dealing with administration) and where its harder to be hired due to the investment a company has to make in you. Plus I’m currently in the public sector and the pay is absolutely abismal. I’m in the sciences and to be honest there’s more opportunity or at least room to grow in the UK right now.

The more £ you earn in the UK are all being eaten up by other cost factors that are continuing to skyrocket e.g. the energy price cap. That is now being raised ever 3 months (currently at 1200%+ since I got here) Workers rights are super important but here in France its created a situation where incompetant people can’t be fired (hence the nightmare of dealing with administration) and where its harder to be hired due to the investment a company has to make in you. Again , not that realistic anymore. People working for trillion dollar companies are being laid off here just for the shareholders. Not because of performance of the individual.
