What the If The Dirt Track Racing Motocross Dirt Ain’t Flyin’ American Flag T-Shirt and by the same token and full truth is about this specific case with Muhammed Ali is, I don’t know. Neither does anyone else who wasn’t personally involved, and those who were involved have incentive to paint it in a particular way. People are imperfect. ALL of them. 100%. That doesn’t make them unworthy of basic human decency, and when we abandon decency, it’s not the target who is worse off for it, it’s the person who abandoned decency. That I know, lol. A minor issue at best. Annoying at worst. Granted, today’s crybabies would have a meltdown on the nightly news, heh. It is very disrespectful, particularly for a Muslim (I use that loosely given it is Nation of Islam). Everyone knew that and knew that Ali took that very seriously.

That’s rude. Kareem Abdul Jabar gave up his birth name as part of becoming a Muslim. Yet you have decided it is not up to him what his name is. His name is whatever YOU want to call him. Sure, it represents his religious beliefs, but you don’t give a shit. Some black people gave up the If The Dirt Track Racing Motocross Dirt Ain’t Flyin’ American Flag T-Shirt and by the same token and family name given to them by their slave ancestors’ owner. YOU have decided they be called by those names given by slave masters and they are just being stupid if they object. It isn’t that you don’t know their chosen name, it is that YOU decide to ignore their chosen name. YOU are more important than they are. What YOU think is all that matters. Tough shit if the name YOU have chosen to call them represents their slave ancestry. They are just being dumb.
