It’s depressing that only a handfull of commenters here have the I Want You To Take A Nap Shirt in contrast I will get this mental capacity to realize no bird will willingly sit in an oven and they can just.. leave? Before rooftiles became too tightly fitting, birds nesting under rooftiles was a really common occurrence. It still is in old barns or houses. Has no-one seen that? There’s no base on this. It’s just an invitation to fill your roof space with government drones (also known as birds) It isn’t sealed, the clay is open on the underside and it sits open on your barrier. It would only be effective in very specific climates I don’t see a way to empty them (birds don’t clean after themselves after they move out) snakes and squirrels would have easy access, there’s no cover, and they might overheat. No ty. From all the bird shit, to insects and or parasites attracted to nests. Put a 4×4 in the ground and put bird houses on it. Plant a tree. Nests produce a lot of bird shit. We have Dogwood trees lining our driveway. The driveway is completely covered from spring to mid summer. Not something I would want on the roof of my house. This just looks like a bad idea. Will you have to go shoo off a bunch of birds whenever you have to replace shingle. What happens when ants or wasps or something get up there? If it hails will there just be a bunch of rotting birds on your roof? I had three birds nests under my solar panels. Woke up every morning at 5 from the endless screeching on the roof. Drove me absolutely nuts. I have nothing against birds, but I’ll never walk that tour of duty ever again.
