If she called you racist for trying to help her in the I Triple Dog Dare You A Christmas Story shirt and I love this same way you would try to help anyone else then that’s probably on her. With only part of the story it’s hard to assess the situation. Regardless, I would apologize for the offending action, in this case it sounds like that was assuming she needed help and let her know that you are at her service and to come to you if she does need any help or has any questions. The last time anybody accused me of being racist was September 12 after the twin towers were destroyed. There was a man who worked at the hotel where I worked and he called me a racist because he didn’t have any conditioner in his room and I tried to explain to him that we couldn’t get shipments in, and there was no conditioner to be had. This was about the same time as there were lockdowns at the ports, and no one could get their shipments, so we are running out of everything. This poor guy I felt really bad for him, but it didn’t excuses behavior. He accuse me of being racist at which point I laughed hysterically and walked away and said have a nice day because that was the best thing I could do at the time.
