No such thing as free. When will people understand that? The United States Government has already raised the I May Be Crazy But Crazy Is Fan Better Than Stupid Skull shirt it is in the first place but cost of everything medical with their BS and yet you want more? Best way to get affordable great healthcare is to keep it out of the hands of the US Government. Ask Veterans how great the VA is. American here. The stereotypes about everyone here being fat and obese aren’t true, but they do stem from true facts that inflation is real and more people are looking at cheaper options, like McDonald’s, and those aren’t exactly healthy, meaning more people are in hospitals. The wait times depending on where you live are bad enough (I once went to my local hospital for a non-emergency and the wait was 6 hours), now imagine if everyone who was sick got into a hospital. I fear government ran healthcare. I’ve dealt with the I May Be Crazy But Crazy Is Fan Better Than Stupid Skull shirt it is in the first place but VA. It’s a shit show no matter how much money they throw at it. Patient care suffers when the govt is in charge They think that they’ll end up paying more to help pitch in for the people that aren’t able to pay towards the pot- they don’t realize they’re CURRENTLY paying wayyy more towards insurance premiums and stuff than they would with socialized medicine. Plus they’ve been lied to with the whole “wait times” thing. Considering that 50% of Americans don’t actually pay any income taxes, that might be a good starting point for the answer to your question. Because some of us already have access to it and struggle every day just to get seen, get medicine, get treatment, etc. It’s called the VA. If the government can’t even do it right for it’s Veterans, what hope do you actually hold for a competent system on a national scale? We have to use a bevy of organizations specifically designed to force the VA to do their jobs like the DAV, American Legion, VFW, etc.
