It sounds like these people are offering you a product that costs well over $100. It all sounds very phishy. You can email them back and ask how it works. Their message also looks VERY generic and not something you’d get from most marketing / sales teams. Not completely out of the realm of possibility, but I’d say very unlikely and you shouldn’t hand them personal info until you can verify legitimacy. (I’m at 7.4k subs and I’ve only received 1 product offering / partnership and it wasn’t going to cost them anything except affiliate payouts) I totally get what you’re saying. The full message was very generic and I’ve only just hit 150 subs (still a woot! for me) so I wouldn’t have thought I’d be targeted just yet (or at all?!) It’s a strange one because it’s coming from a personal Gmail account with a name completely different to the alleged sender/correspondence name in the email body. Apart from replying with some questions I’m not sure how I’d go about verifying it… They can have my address and if something turns up, bonus I suppose?! I’d personally be much more careful about handing out a home address if something feels phishy. A PO box would be much safer if you have one. Free stuff can be tempting as a “bonus” but I really wouldn’t give company my hone address until after I felt secure in the legitimacy of their business.
