Humankind’s arrogant presumption in its own supremacy, and its collective shortsightedness have led us to this point. Knee-jerk reactions of “This is authoritarian REEEEE” don’t hold water, and don’t solve the problem. Perhaps forty or fifty years ago, we had the luxury of taking a much easier and more gradual path of ensuring ours and the planet’s survival. Unfortunately, humankind threw that opportunity into the priverbial landfill. Green technology simply isn’t there, yet, and may not be for some time, or ever if the right gets its way. The best we can hope to do in the meantime is drastically cut down on our carbon footprint. That means, in plain English, depopulation. Since we can’t just kill billions of people, for obvious reasons, this is the next logical step.

I’m good” We enjoy the DINK life (dual income no kids). We take home a lot of money and don’t have to spend any of it on kids. We don’t have to plan vacations around children’s school time, save up for their college, find babysitters when we go out for date night every week, worry about childproofing anything in our house, worry that they are dying every minute they are not in our sight, the destruction and pouting of the toddler years, the destruction and pouting of the teenage years, etc. However, I totally support those who enjoy having children even if I don’t understand them. My friend has 3 kids and every time she calls, it sounds like chaos, but she sounds happy.
