I don’t really seeing anyone talk about regulation here, which I always worry about when it comes to horse meat. The horses could have anything in their system (medications). Imagine it more like, instead of the SPCA adopting out dogs, they just sell the homeless dogs to a butcher. That’s whats happening. This is not true. Horse meat is not a staple in “french-canada” or at least not “a delicacy”, and the wiki doesn’t say any of that either. Also the fact people lose their shit about eating horse but won’t blink twice about eating beef will never stop being hilarious to me. Man, I lived here in 2017 and I had never heard of this. Now that I find out it’s in Lawrenceville, that makes a lot of sense. It’s pretty safe to ignore all of the bougie startup-ass hype overpriced food in that neighborhood.

errr, i’m canadian. lived right next door to quebec. i have ever heard of this. i thought horse mean was just too tough Wait french canadian here : 1-the I Love Being A Nana Snowman Christmas Xmas Lights T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this only time I saw people eating horse meet was cause they were training and it’s lean . 2-I really love food and good restaurant and I never saw horse in the menu . 3-if you have ever ate horse meat you would know that it’s not tasty and dry Yeah, I refrain from horse eating because I put them in the same category as cats, dogs, and other pet animals, which I don’t eat as a rule. Why though? I eat very little meat myself, but I see no moral difference between eating a horse, a cow, or a dog. All can be very nice and friendly. Most pigs I have met are annoying stubborn, but they are often smarter than dogs. I think I used to be uncomfortable with the cognitive dissonance but I just just accepted that the beef I am eating was probably just as nice as my neighbor’s dog.
