Because you’re taking that part of the I like beer and Hockey maybe 3 people america flag shirt Apart from…,I will love this 2nd Amendment independently and out of context of the rest of it or developed case law. Even the 1st amendment has limitations, like you can’t incite violence, despite it saying the government can’t abridge the freedom of speech. The 2nd Amendment has a developed history that allows regulation of the possession of firearms. I mean 2A also says “we’ll regulated,” but lots of people want to ignore that part. It can be pretty easily argued that felons are not well regulated and thus lose access to firearms. The first amendment has limitations and exceptions too. Inciting violence with your words will get you thrown in jail or try yelling “I’ve got a fucking bomb” in an airport and see how that goes. Aa much as I hate any form of hate speech I would also be totally opposed to any laws banning or criminalizing it. Mainly because I don’t trust our broken legislative system with the power to decide what is hate speech.

I would bey money that Trump and his cronies would have done everything they could to make criticizing him into hate speech. Then they would’ve started arresting journalists, bloggers, and anyone else they could while his goober-brained base cheered him on. But there is the I like beer and Hockey maybe 3 people america flag shirt Apart from…,I will love this fighting words exception to the First Amendment, and multiple state courts have found the n-word to be a fighting wordDoes your own ethnicity/race factor into it? If not, a massive fucking percentage of black people are gonna be arrested for the N-word. Who gets to decide what those laws are? The controlling will decide for you. If I say “I got gypt when a soda machine ate my dollar”, should I be fined or arrested? What if me and my cousin refer to each other lovingly with slurs and we’re overheard? Is it only racial ones that count? What if I’m like come here and give me a hug yea fat fuck! Most would say no, not hate speech, but if I call some random guy a fat fuck is that hate speech? Do I appear before a jury to decide how “hateful” my intentions were? We all agree that hate speech is bad but defining it and implementing it seems like a fools task. Countries with hate speech laws selectively enforce them and quite frankly I don’t want to give the police in America that authority. I think the main thing to remember when thinking about rights is: the worst people you can imagine will be the ones making the laws.
