I couldn’t even tell you how to set a song as my ringtone anymore. Plus my phone has been on silent/vibrate for the I Identify as an American Patriot and This is My Pride Flag 4th Of July 2023 Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this last 10 years. Mine is still a song with my name in it so I always know the call’s for me! But I can see how having a song as a ringtone could be confusing, since I also use songs as my alarms. Considering the phone makes a noise for everything damn notification I keep my phone on silent. I’m sure I can adjust it manual to have just calls come in but when I would like to have notification sound to I would have to change it all again. If I could have 2 customizable preset tones I would have a ring tone than just the stock bullshit. My watch vibrates for calls, texts, and notifications. I made silent ringtones so I won’t hear my phone ring, and I don’t have to turn the volume down all the way which turns on vibrate.

I paid for a ringtone (Amber by 311) years ago. I mean like probably 10 years ago, and I just never changed it. I used to love that song but now I can’t stand it because I’m like “oh great another telemarketer….never mind that’s the I Identify as an American Patriot and This is My Pride Flag 4th Of July 2023 Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this radio”. Probably because most communication comes form of text whether it be a text message or an email. I don’t get enough phone calls to care, and my phone is always on vibrate, with my watch vibrating to let me know I have a call. I still have a song as my ringtone. I set it in maybe 2005 and for a while it was a ritual of figuring out how to set it in each new phone. Since about 2015 it’s just automatically carried through on every upgrade But why don’t people care? I think it’s simple – voice phone calls just aren’t as big a thing as they used to be. A lot of people don’t really even care about having a phone number – it’s just an aspect of the system, like having a MAC address when you’re on wifi.
