Historically, language has been used to perpetuate homophobia and discrimination against individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. Terms such as “faggot” and “lesbian” have been hurled as insults and used to justify violence and oppression. The “I Have Homosexual Tendencies” shirt confronts this legacy by reclaiming these terms and turning them into a statement of pride and defiance.

It sends a clear message that LGBTQ+ people exist, they are proud of who they are, and they deserve to be treated with respect.

Through its provocative message, the “I Have Homosexual Tendencies” shirt challenges societal norms and expectations around gender and sexuality.
