I used to think I wanted kids until about 6 years ago when I was working as a bank teller next to a woman who had twin toddler boys and a teenage daughter. She’d come to work every day and just nonstop complain about her kids and how she’d have to lock herself in her bathroom for peace and quiet. Meanwhile, I’d go home and get high and play videogames and nap whenever I wanted and realized I never wanted to give up this life for hers. I feel like so many people have kids just because it’s what you’re “supposed” to do.
