Good on them, we are supposed to be moving forward not backward. If I was a kid in that school, I would get kicked out so quick. All I would do is talk about gender, ethnicity and all of my gay friends. Heck I would probably say that I am gay again and again. Very weird to call it “don’t say gay bill” it’s actually called “parental rights in education” the I Can Only Imagine Faith Flower Butterfly Shirt moreover I love this bill states “A school district may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students” The only issue I have with the bill is that they have not defined age appropriate but have stated its grades k-3. How could anyone argue that its okay to teach about gender fluidity and really any of these sexually (including hetro) involved topics in elementary school much less kindergarten? This is bizarre-o world that this is even a debate. Or, instead of reading the title and forming an opinion from nearly no information, you could actually read what the bill says. There is so much more to it than just allowing the conversation about sex with children.

I am 100% ok with a man loving a man, a woman loving a woman, a man becoming a woman, a woman becoming a man or someone who doesn’t want to be classified all together but, I feel that should only be brought up at an age appropriate time like when sexual education begins if that’s a fair statement? Ding ding ding! “Age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students” is literally IN THE BILL that everyone is complaining about… Read the I Can Only Imagine Faith Flower Butterfly Shirt moreover I love this bill — teaching little kids about adult subject matter is not needed. Let’s teach our kids how to read and write. Kids need to learn about it eventually, if you just pussyfoot around the subject then they’re going to be emotionally stunted in that area. I mean, we talk about love and marriage to little kids all the fucking time, I fail to see how this is any different.
