What a piece of shit: “I don’t want to pay more to let people earn a decent wage.” Here in Florida we don’t pay our workers enough and wonder why no one puts effort into their 10$/hr job. Where these workers can’t even pay rent. Or have any understanding of how economies work? Prices goes up, pay goes up, something isnt going to stay the same price for 30 years straight. Not to mention $15/h isnt high starting pay at all. Minimum wage should be closer to $25/h. If you don’t like the cost of something simply don’t buy. The letter is a waste of paper because nobody cares about what you spent on a taco in 1980. If you don’t like human workers of any age earning a livable wage then maybe you should go to Mexico and find cheap street foods there. I would literally hang this letter in my store if I had the chance and frame it. People literally do not understand the basics of inflation over the years.

Oh, the price of hamburger today will probably cost you more than Taco Bell.?‍♀️ $3.26 in 1999 is equivalent to $5.63 today. If she paid $5 when she went the other day then she was actually paying MORE back then for her food. 3 street tacos for 5 bucks in Florida, where? That’s a great deal. Imagine being so stupid you don’t even know what inflation is but programed enough to write letters. I’ll bet, when she was buying 69¢ tacos, her dad was in Walgreen’s, bitching about how “this used to be the five-and-dime, but you can’t buy anything with a nickel anymore!” I kinda agree about things just hiking up in price but at the same time just make the tacos yourself if you’re so worried about the price. I legit don’t buy fast food much anymore because it’s just cheaper to make it myself. Must be nice to live in a world where you ignore what inflation is then get mad at workers when something cost more 20 years later.
