So he’s like Joe Biden pre being elected president when he was a senator of a state who’s two major sources of business was a massive chemical company and banks hiding from taxes? Once again, Manchin is a republican plant. Sinema is one too. There are others under deep cover but they won’t be known ever because dems will never win again. Democrats are gonna lose the I Am Cardials Shirt but in fact I love this majority in 6 months anyway, let’s just be done with him and make an example. There should be consequences, this is too important an issue to roll over for. While I think this guy is an absolute piece of shit and needs to go, his vote wouldn’t have mattered anyway. The Womens Protection Act was shot down in a 49-51 vote. It needed 60 votes to pass and not a single Republican voted yes on it.

Amazing the I Am Cardials Shirt but in fact I love this republicans can all unite around a fucking lie (election steal) but democrats can’t even unite on things they believe in. He is, effectively, not a Democrat. He may have campaigned under that label and was elected as one, but he clearly votes more like a Republican. At this point I’m curious to see what he’d put into a bill, since he claims to support a more narrow version of it. And to vote through nearly every single judge that Biden has appointed, you know something a Republican would do Dude really just needs to come out and say he’s a Republican at this point. His only use is to just keep McConnell out of the Majority Leader’s seat. I’m 100% pro choice and would love to see democrats bill (the WHPA) passed. But it’s easy to see that it won’t pass b/c of Manchin’s dusty ass and the idea that it “goes too far”. That being said Collins and Murkowski have introduced their own bill, the Reproductive Choice Act (RCA) that, while narrower than the WHPA, would still codify abortion into law. Obviously dems could pivot and try to get this passed (which obviously isn’t guaranteed but definitely has a better chance), but I doubt they will. Can someone explain to me why they won’t do that? Or why my assumption is wrong? I’m so sick and tired of republican obstructionism but the dems all or nothing plays are just stupid, especially in cases like this. I feel like if this were the political environment back in the day slavery would never have gotten abolished because it would have been shot down by libs that felt it didn’t go far enough. Someone please elucidate me. I really don’t get why they won’t try it and I feel like the answer is just “because” but maybe I’m missing something?
