Was summoned for jury duty in Scotland (UK)….. phoned up given number in letter if I needed assistance with anything and told them I won’t be attending because of travel issues they said they would reimburse every penny I told them that’s not the I am an eeyore woman was born with my heart on my sleeve mouth can’t control shirt Furthermore, I will do this issue but the fact that I live in South Wales (UK) they said sorry we’ll update the system and won’t bother you again Take a book, a crossword, an audiobook, your phone fully charged. I sat for 3 1/2 days in a holding room just to get sent home. If you get a trial there’s still lots of waiting. Look up somewhere nice to go for lunch as you get approx. £7.50/day to eat. If you get public transport there save your tickets and get a form to claim them back.

Overall there’s a lot of sitting around and waiting for things to happen. There is lots of talking that could be consolidated into 10 minutes from 1hr + from all the lawyers/judges etc. It’s pretty boring, but did get me out of work for 2 weeks, which was nice.
