At the I am a Grumpy Old Mechanic my level of sarcasm stupidity skull shirt in addition I really love this time there was no high speed rail to Khiva but I believe that there is now a high speed rail link. It’s meant to be amazing I booked first class trains for most of the trips but could only get standard class on the trip from Bukhara to Tashkent. First class is nice but standard class is good so you don’t really need to spend extra on first class. The trains were comfy and clean and modern and plenty of room for luggage At the time I booked it was only possible to buy train tickets in advance via a tour operator. The mark up is high but the cost is relatively affordable and they provided a very good service. You might now be able to directly purchase tickets in advance now but if you want the name of the company I used I’ll try to find it People say the food is not very good but I don’t agree, it’s just that you won’t get a posh dinner. It’s tasty and filling

I’m from a Lithuanian background myself, last time I visited was as a little kid lol but I’d definitely like to return. That is if Putin doesn’t start some shenanigans there. Lithuania is probably the safest out of the baltic states from Russian invasion as the Soviet Union wasn’t able to ethically cleanse a quarter of the population like they did in Latvia and Estonia
