In my opinion centrists have no belief other than selfishness. They’ll spout any belief because they dont really have any, just go whichever way the HVAC Tech Skull American Flag shirt What’s more,I will buy this wind blows. There is a justification for it though; politics is so convoluted & confusing I understand why people throw their hands up. Zealots have a long history of failure, with some massive successes sprinkled in A lot of these responses are pretty centrist ngl. The reason is basically that it’s a political ideology for teenagers who don’t understand and don’t want to understand politics. It’s built on the idea that the status quo is just fine, which instantly betrays a level of privileged comfort and/or lack of awareness that makes it entirely self-serving. As an example, the centrist position right now is arguing for israel to continue bombing children’s hospitals and refugee camps because they have no alternative to root out hamas and if there is a ceasefire, hamas will attack again.

Centrists are, imho, dangerous because their commitment is to an aesthetic and affect, not any particular outcome or principle. You’ll see it in this thread in a majority of comments, they believe that it is admirable to see positive and negative in all sides and believe that they are capable of seeing ‘nuance’ where others do not. This is just a non sequiteur, in the HVAC Tech Skull American Flag shirt What’s more,I will buy this example given there is no nuance that im missing when i say that bombing gaza will not root out hamas, that israel does not seem to be actually interested in rooting out hamas, and that one party breaking a ceasefire has never, ever, been a reason to not pursue a new one, historically. There’s nothing they know and i do not, theres no nuance i’m missing, we just disagree about facts.
