Not many people are responsible pet owners, unfortunately. For some reason, there’s an opinion that cats “need” to have outdoor access, which is completely untrue; it lowers their quality of life and negatively affects local fauna I mean, letting your cat freely roam around a particular town or city would surely be nice for the How To Play Disc Golf Throw Swear Look For Disc Shirt Also,I will get this cat, in a way, but, the same could be said for letting a domesticated hawk roam around as long as it comes home for dinner They’re exposed to more disease, injury, and predation, and are far, far less likely to receive help if they need it. If a cat gets an injury that makes it hard to walk in your house, you can help them, get them to a vet. What about when they’re out on their own? I’m just saying that often outdoor cat advocates discount what indoor cat advocates are saying, when the indoor advocates say that there are no benefits to going outside, while people can plainly see with our eyes that there are some benefits. I dunno about lowering the quality of life, they are hunters by nature and this lets them hunt and exercise to their hearts content. Cats would not try to get outside if they did not want to be outside, and nearly every cat will try to get outside as soon as an opportunity presents itself. Local fauna can absolutely suffer, and it is most likely going to mean a shorter lifespan for your cat, but lower quality of life? I don’t know if we should suppose such things when the cat can’t tell us whether they are enjoying being outside or not. My childhood cat was indoor-outdoor. Managed to catch several illnesses, fought with other cats to severe injuries, and finally disappeared entirely. Never found out if my mother had had enough of him or something killed him.
