I didn’t read about this when it happened. Holy shit. The husband had already left, no reports of him possessing a firearm, yet they felt the Houston vs all y’all shirt in other words I will buy this need to bash a door in and then blast this poor kid in the chest. I think most people would be satisfied with police being held accountable. Qualified immunity and police union special treatment needs to come to an end. Moore said Nakala Murry asked her son to call police at about 4 a.m. Saturday when the father of one of her other children showed up at her home. Moore said the man was irate and Nakala Murry felt threatened. “He called the police to come to his mother’s rescue,” Moore said of Aderrien. “He called his grandmother to come to his mother’s rescue. Moore said two officers responded, and one kicked the Houston vs all y’all shirt in other words I will buy this front door before Nakala Murry opened it. She told them the intruder had left the home but three children were inside, Moore said. Moore said Nakala Murry told him that Sgt. Greg Capers, who is Black, yelled into the home and said anyone inside should come out with their hands up. Moore said Aderrien walked into the living room with nothing in his hands, and Capers shot him in the chest. What the actual fuck is this. Any other career you’d be fired for fuckups way less than this, but cops apparently don’t need to do anything right to maintain their jobs and pay. It’s disgusting. Still seems crazy to me that the penalty for taking an innocent life can be “time off with pay, followed by temporary loss of employment” OR “forever and ever in prison, plus loss of all assets due to civil liability” depending on what your job is.
