So I left behind the toothpaste (cheapest) and the next day, went to a drugstore to replace it. If I’d waited for one more client meeting to finish, I could have been there.

Basically, I got to live like a local who was taking a week off. It was AMAZING – hands down the best trip I’ve taken and the most beautiful place I’ve been. When I tell people I went to Lebanon everyone thinks of the war-torn media portrayal of Lebanon currently and how unsafe it must have been but that was the opposite of my experience.

I was on Facebook while we were there and saw this Australian girl post that she was writing an article for a magazine on the “Sail Croatia” experience and could bring four people for free – it started in 3 days. I said I could do it and was on a flight the next day. Spent a week for free with these aussies who were so lovely. I ended up actually staying with them in Australia for about a month a few years after that it was such a lovely experience and they are great friends to this day.
