Nope. Told all employees to go get unemployment for 2 weeks. So they made the state pay them for their downtime. Ridiculous. If you’re on welfare you’re never leeching off the government. If I made $10 an hour (min wage is 7.25) I would make 1600 a month before taxes and fees. How tf would I be paying for food in this scenario? Gas? Medical care? It’s not feasible without outside support, theft, or going massively into debt. Have some empathy I’m on minimum wage in FL is 10$ now and work 12 hours a week at a work rehabilitation place, I get SSI and SSDI, and only get 29$ EBT(food stamps) once a month, I barely make it through, usually with no spending money, and take public transit or walk everywhere, so don’t tell me to have compassion or some shit, I’m saying there is noone on a full time job that gets food stamps at all unless maybe their an illegal getting paid under the table or they have like 10+ dependents Or the politicians taxing them out the ass are? Frankly there are a lot of folks that could be leeching them. Including themselves.
