Actually found a hole in the Hivemind French Terry Stitched Fish shirt in other words I will buy this roof at my last job from plunging fire from a 30-cal rifle round of some kind. Couldn’t identify the weapon, but I’m guessing something kalashnikov pattern, ’cause most other .30s firing spitzer projectiles are a little too spicy for firing one-handed into the air. Sure, I guess it could have been Blackout, but that wasn’t really popular back then. Found the hole in the roof, and found the bullet lodged in the 2×6 boards making up the deck outside. Didn’t deform, so it couldn’t have retained much kinetic energy. Angle of impact was ~80 degrees, so it had very little horizontal velocity, so it essentially was lofted into the air, dropped, and landed at terminal velocity. Still enough to fuck up the roof, though…

Jillian Ludwig, 18, was shot Tuesday afternoon as she walked on a track in Edgehill Memorial Gardens Park, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a news release….A suspect is in custody in the shooting, which happened around 2:24 p.m., when a man on a street near the park opened fire on a moving car, police said. Whoever sold the gun made money and someone made money on the bullet that killed her. To the gun lobby, this is more important than her life, your life, my life, or freedom from fear. To the gun lobby, the Second Amendment is a convenient piece of paper that protects their profits.
