They’ll start by isolating you from your friends and family, then they’re going to surround you with your “boyfriend’s friends” who are all cult members. If you tell your boyfriend you’re considering moving jobs, he’ll likely introduce you to a jon that seems a little too good to be true when it comes to the Hendrick Motorsports Team Collection 300 wins shirt moreover I love this pay or what not, or he might just bring it up out of the blue thay someone he knows is hiring and they pay more than your current job and guess what? Also ran by and staffed by cult members. They’ll start asking if you have any single friends so they can do the same shit to them. Slowly but surely, they WILL invade every aspect of your life and when you come to your senses you’ll find yourself surrounded by only cult members, with your entire socioeconomic life reliant on the cult. Your boss is in the cult, if you say you’re going to leave the cult, you’ll lose your job. If you try and just find a different job before leaving, you’re going to have to put that job on your resume or have a huge gap in work experience and if your boss gets a call bc they were in your references, you can bet your boss is going to try their damnest to talk shit about you never get that other job. You’ll lose all your social relationships bc they’ve isolated and surrounded you with cult members so you have no friends or meaningful relationships outside of the cult. At that point it feels almost hopeless to leave the cult, and that’s how a ton of people get stuck in a cult, they’ve lost hope that they can escape.

Leave him and run before you get caught in that shit. Please. It took my friend over half a decade to pick up the Hendrick Motorsports Team Collection 300 wins shirt moreover I love this pieces of her life and it was one of the most painful experiences I ever had to witness. I mean I hate to give relationship advice myself but it’s 100% a cult that has ruined lives. I mean do your own research and all that but the fact that your asking these questions means it’s probably time to run for hills already. The fact that it didn’t come until 5 months in should also be a red flag imo it’s like how they cook lobsters so that they don’t realize their screwed until its too late. Lex Fridman podcast has an episode with a former scientologist member on youtube. A lot of questions are answered there as well. I’d also recommend listening to episode 281 of the Cleared Hot Podcast. It’s a different episode than he normally does, as he mainly focuses on special forces guys, high performance athletes, etc. The host, Andy Stumpf, interviews Aaron Smith Levin, a former Scientologist. It gives you a pretty good idea of what goes on in Scientology, and how Aaron’s in-laws were forced to go no-contact after Aaron and his wife decided to no longer be involved in the church. Super informative and heartbreaking at times.
