Yes parents want to get some of their own time back. And they want less bills so they can kick their savings for retirement into high gear. And some just want to go on cruises I guess. Lol Because they grew up in a time where living independently at 18 was a viable strategy, and think their kids also can. Or they are just bad people. I’m American and came from a family where I was told I had two choices when I turned 18: Go to college right away and be allowed to come home for summer vacation, or get a job and pay rent on my bedroom.
