So it was possibly sleep paralysis but the timing was so weird – it both happened at the same night. I eventually told them that they have just told me very similar experiences and they shared their experiences with one another only to find out that yes they felt paralyzed while asleep and they have even more questions than ever. I still wonder about that time because I’m very close to these 2 people and they’re very chill and calm possibly the calmest people I know and most calm people don’t have bad dreams or nightmares that just happens without a trigger.

I still look for an explanation as to what is coincidence and what’s stopping 2 people from having the same exact experience at the same time and what does it mean I don’t know how much this “counts”, as it’s just a handful of dreams I’ve had/ have, but I think about them all the time. I’m in my early 20’s, super spiritual person, all that “universe, conscience, energy, aura” stuff, totally up my alleyway. I’ve always been a person who’s had very vivid, lucid dreams, and most of them wake me up in the middle of the night, like shoot outta bed wake up and I have to take a few minutes to reorient myself because I feel lost and confused even though im sitting in my own room… but for about 2 years now, I’ve had this category of dreams where I’m with a guy, either my husband, boyfriend, I never always know the difference, but were living this beautiful life together, doing cute couple things or whatever, I’ve been sitting in the park, dancing at a rooftop balcony, sitting in the living room at some party, in a master bedroom, you get the point. In every single one, I’m talking to this guy, he doesn’t look the same in each one, some have blonde hair, some have brown, yadda yadda. But I’m talking to this person in every single one, full blown conversations, and were laughing, hugging, like a happy couple. But here’s the strange bit. At some point, in every single one, I have a moment, where I suddenly “wake up” in my dream. I start looking around, realizing, wait i minute… and I say the same line in every dream, “what is this place? and WHO ARE YOU?” to my partner. Every time, they get this smirk on their face, not creepy but like a “you figured it out” look, and I start hounding them with more questions, “do i know you? whats your name?” yadda yadda, and all they say is “soon” / “one day” or something like that. Then they always walk away, out the door, down the hallway, or out of “the frame” and then everything goes black, and like 2 seconds later I snap up in bed, eyes, wide, and I’m “back” in my room. But to this day, whether the dream happened a year ago or 3 weeks ago, I remember it. The whole thing: the location, the pattern of the rug on the floor, what my partner was wearing, and the color of his hair, what their hands felt like when we were touching, all of that. The one thing I never get, is their name, and I also NEVER remember their face, just that curvy smirk they did when I “figured it out”. I think about them a lot, if it means anything, if I’ll ever meet them one day, or did I just visit an another universe in my dream or something. Whatever it is, I just know how strange life always feels when I wake up.
