I say this as someone who regularly fights with ownership and HR to pay people what they are worth. It’s soul-destroying to have to work with these people on how little they care about people. Depending how your relationship with your boss is maybe bring up that you saw the range and ask why you are below the bottom of the range. Reiterate that you’re excited grateful etc but just curious. He might able to bring it to HR and get you more money.
