I’m an American, and I was able to move back in with my dad after college. I stayed with him for 2 years where I used the Haruomi Hosono Japanese musician singer songwriter T-Shirt In addition,I will do this money I saved not paying for rent to pay off my student loans. I’m fortunate I had that opportunity as a lot of my peers never lived with their parents after college, or even high school graduation. I moved out at 17 and pretty much starved, stole, drank and did drugs for 2 years. Then moved back with my parents till I figured out how to adult properly. Now my bills are paid and sober and not a total piece of shit. Not American, but my mother gave up her parental rights to my brother when he was 10, kicked me out when I was 16, but let my sister keep living there until she was 21. My theory is that she threw away what she believed was the trash so she could focus on her only worthy child. You being forever grateful is really what most decent parents want. What they don’t want is an adult living in their basement playing video games for 16 hrs a day whilst refusing to work or go to school. Generally speaking, most kids who are kicked out probably screwed up enough to do so. That’s not to say there aren’t parents who either are horrible people and/or don’t care, but in my experience, parents are willing to do a ton IF their children are trying to better themselves as well.

We have an abundance of parents who never wanted kids in the Haruomi Hosono Japanese musician singer songwriter T-Shirt In addition,I will do this first place. Parents in the US that care about their child’s wellbeing don’t kick them out at 18. Many even do things like pay for their kids to go to university since that’s not exactly free here. Not all Americans do that, but the boomers tend too lol! Generation Z here and my husband & I decided years ago that our kids are welcome to live with us (for free) as long as they’re going to college or working. However, we were both thrown out at the age of 18 so perhaps that affected our experience? All I know is that I expect that when our kids buy a house they’ll have at least 20% down payment plus an emergency fund set aside. I can’t speak for anyone else’s motives, but I wanted to move out and be my own person as soon as I could. Living under my parents’ rules, doing what they wanted when they wanted and not what I wanted, just made me feel like I was not growing as a person, but just an extension of someone else. Yes, it was more expensive to live on my own than with my parents, but it was money well-spent on freedom and autonomy. Most don’t. I usually find that a lot of these kicks come from dysfunctional families or weird parents. There is some pressure to move out around that age but personally I think it come from a good place of trying to get you ready for adulthood
