For 3, no it was meant to sound like URL as a clue to the website This movie’s photography will be absolutely beautiful If I stay, there can be no party. I must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. Wherever a party needs to be saved, I’m there. Wherever there are masks, wherever there’s tomfoolery and joy, I’m there. But sometimes I’m not cause I’m out in the night, staying vigilant.Watching. Lurking. Running. Jumping. Hurtling. Sleeping. No, I can’t sleep. You sleep. I’m awake. I don’t sleep. I don’t blink. Watch this with Kimi for a “Zoë Kravitz listens to audio of a woman getting murdered” double feature The movie up to the Happy Everything Snoopy And Charlie Shirt and by the same token and Riddler interrogation scene was an extremely tight crime thriller film, and I really wish it ended there, with a bit more about Bruce realizing he inadvertently helped the Riddler, and realizing he should be using his Wayne resources to do good too instead of just hurting bad guys (a theme I thought the film was leading up to). Instead the movie goes on for another half hour with a largely pointless action sequence where nothing of consequence really happens except…the city suffers a bit more? Alright? Batman fighting some random goons really isn’t a satisfying climax. The only thematic importance I got from the last sequence was Bruce realizing he could a hero, helping people out directly, instead of just being a vigilante, but I really don’t think that justified the whole last act. You could have had something similar after the funeral scene, maybe replace the whole ‘police turn on Batman’ plot point which served no narrative purpose and was resolved without issue. Overall it’s still a solid 8/10 film, but without that last act I think it could easily have been a 9.
