Your child won’t be an exact copy of you, there will be a genetic divergence, which is not different from a divergence between your siblings or cousins and overall this is a cluster of gene-pool. It is not the Halloween Ghost Books Nerd shirt In addition,I will do this survival of the fittest individual, it is survival of the fittest gene-pool as a group. In 2013, geneticists Peter Ralph and Graham Coop showed that all Europeans are descended from exactly the same people. Basically, everyone alive in the ninth century who left descendants is the ancestor of every living European today, including Charlemagne, Drogo, Pippin and Hugh. Quel dommage. I see where you’re coming from, but to me personally, it feels empowering to know that I’m going to be the one to make that decision, ya know? It feels kind of bad, sure, but it also has an amazing sense of finality to it that I really appreciate

For me personally, it’s like: I have a brother, he can continue the Halloween Ghost Books Nerd shirt In addition,I will do this bloodline if he wants. Besides, I also have cousins who already have kids, the bloodline already survives to the next generation. Life will keep on going whether you pump out kids or not. Climate change will be the true downfall of human society. We’re biologically programmed to be invested in the success of our species. Altruism is a manifestation of this just as much as procreation is. The most prominent evidence against the idea is the concept that we adopt orphans. And humans aren’t the only species that do it. In fact, we raise young animals too. And some animals also raise orphaned babies outside of their own species. None of this has to do with bloodline. With limited time and resources, our instinct shouldn’t kick in to care for children that aren’t our own, and yet globally across almost all cultures, we do. And countless examples of a cheetah raising an orphaned gazelle, or a barn cat raising chicks, or a wolf raising a fawn, etc. The maternal instinct kicks in for any baby. I would argue this is evidence that we are biologically programmed to care for ANY child, not just your own blood. I don’t want kids, but sometimes I get a shock of monkey brain that panics about needing to pass on my genes and then I have to remember that I’m a sentient human being and none of that matters in the grand scheme of things. Nothing matters regardless, just have fun and try not to leave the world worse than you found it and that’s the whole point of life. I’m convinced it isn’t more complicated than that. It’s chaotic and ultimately only has the meaning you give it, but there isn’t any inherent meaning to any of it.
