This time around median voters are going to be painfully aware that there is no “none of the Hall Of Fame Gary Blair Texas A&M Aggies shirt and I love this above” option in a Presidential election, and that a vote for anyone except Biden is a vote for Trump. And he’s going out his way to make himself toxic to them. I don’t understand at all why betting markets are putting him ahead of Biden. Unless that’s just pricing in the likelihood of death or a major medical event obviously precluding Biden from running or serving? But honestly that seems like a wash. I wouldn’t want to hold the life insurance policy for either guy, but if I had to pick it’d be the bike-riding old guy, rather than the waxen windbag who can’t lift his arms to drink a glass of water.

He’s being painted as winning for several reasons. One, the Hall Of Fame Gary Blair Texas A&M Aggies shirt and I love this powerful want him elected and they control the media. Two, most polls are done with cold calls on land lines. Most of those people are retired and Republicans. It’s not an accurate picture of how the election will actually play out, but it is an accurate picture of how those who traditionally vote will vote. If the youth and other people that usually don’t vote don’t come out for this election, Trump will win. Surely someone has a better recruitment method for polls than cold-calling landlines at this point? I struggle to understand why you would still do that, unless you actively want to get a distorted sample. I mean I can’t think of a solution off the top of my head, but if it were my job I would probably work a little harder at it..! This is why polls have been very inaccurate for the past 15 years and only getting worse. I’m sure you’re right and they’re trying for skewed numbers, especially since like I said the media is trying to push Trump to win, they need those polls to push their narrative.
