Seems a little tone deaf when talking about water conservation and drought survival measures to talk about how many swimming pools could be filled. “If the Gunnawunna #Fukumean Shirt Besides,I will do this state water board approves the cease-and-desist order against BlueTriton, the company could face fines of up to $1,000 a day, or up to $10,000 a day if a drought is declared in the area.” Saudi families that buy farmland in arid states to farm wheat and then ship it to Saudi Arabia. While using irrigation farming which uses a lot of water on a crop that shouldn’t be grown there. So not only do they use a ton of the fresh water we’re trying to save but we don’t even make money off it beyond property tax Yep, and the Reanik family that owns POM. They are some terrible folks and hoard a lot of CA’s resources growing water heavy crops. I think they do almonds too.

The legislature has really screwed people out of groundwater there. Lots of good ol boy deals that hurt low income residents. Yeah apparently we all have detectable levels of microplastics in our blood at this point, so adding plastic directly to the Gunnawunna #Fukumean Shirt Besides,I will do this drinking water of Los Angeles seems like not a great idea. You get that, I get that, and in ten years when it’s a huge problem, the state and local government who implemented this will say, “We could not have foreseen this problem at the time.” It’s high quality, UV-resistant, and probably thicc plastic. Thirty six cents isn’t that bad. Also, as a cost preventer, it might be worth well more than that in water and chemical savings. I was thinking the news report would read more like, “June 2035: City of LA struggling to identify the cause of their 1200% increase in diagnosed cases of gastrointestinal cancers from their 2031 levels, researchers believe the answer will be found by looking for contaminants their new plastic-filtered public water infrastructure failed to keep out.” Dams. I was reading about this recently. THe long term effects of building dams. Ecological disasters from before the project are complete, on a longer horizon, the water evaporation and humidity in the region are so fucked up that there’s very little cloud seeding all along the river’s path, and this results in very little rain at the river head… Hoover dam is the best example of this garbage short term thinking… absolutely destroying the Colorado river system. Yay.. 🙁
