Basically a self-hosted DNS server that blocks ad URLs that you can install on a raspberry pi (or really whatever) on your network. A simple rule: if someone can use a type of software to force something on your system against your will, then so can everyone. Anything like adblockers and tracker blockers puts up another line of defense.
