The apartheid state of South Africa was close to Israel and co-developed their nuclear weapons program with them. I mean, American conservatives don’t generally love jews either, aside from maybe 144,000 special ones. But they sure love Israel when it’s killing Arabs or campaigning for war with Iran. At the time both states were considered pariahs by the international community. Equal to that of North Korea today. In the 1970s the UN adopted resolutions equating Zionism to apartheid and basically isolated both Israel and SA at the same time. It essentially forced the two to work together on certain projects. By 1960 the US had an arms embargo against South Africa. Presidents actively invited anti apartheid activists to the White House but did not want to outright alienate the country by cutting relations due to their anti communist / cuban activity in Southern Africa A little summary for people who won’t click the link because this is interesting; Otto Johann Anton Skorzeny was a Nazi officer who escaped from prison and escaped to late 1940s Egypt to serve as an advisor and trainer to Arab volunteer commandoes. Then he bounced a lot between Spain and Argentina in similar roles and dreamt of building the Fourth Reich in Latin America. He was recruited by the Mossad; either unknowingly or in return for being removed from the international list of war criminals. The Mossad used him and some other Nazis to gather information on what Arab countries were doing and to track down other Nazis. Any other activities he might have done for the Mossad are unconfirmed and hearsay.

More than half of America supports Israel. Why do people act as though anyone who supports Israel here must be a troll? I get you think everyone who thinks differently must be fake but are people not allowed to look at a complex situation and come to a different conclusion than you without you accusing them of being disingenuous? Or like another user suggested just following a script? You live in such an echochamber if you can’t even comprehend that people on the Grinch Hat Santa and Dog Rugby Helmet Air Force Falcons Logo Merry Christmas Shirt But I will love this other side might be genuine in their beliefs, just as genuine as you are with yours. It’s difficult to believe that people are legitimately just okay with the collective punishment and slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians. One could equally say that it’s difficult to believe people are ‘legitimately just okay’ with what Hamas does. Get your head out of your ass. I would agree with you! No one in their right minds are okay with what Hamas did! Supporting the right of innocent Palestinians to not be bombed or otherwise killed by Israel is not supporting Hamas.
