that’s how most people are with their jobs, but most people in the Grinch and Max Dallas Cowboys Christmas tree football wordmask shirt but in fact I love this medical field end up being overworked and underpaid so I don’t think they’re in it for the money. Same with teaching I got into medical field (ended up a nurse currently) for helping people but absolutely have followed the money as well. either way you’re helping people in your profession so you might as well get paid more for doing it ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I worked in EMS for 5 years and just started working in the hospital 6 months ago. Speaking purely from the EMT side and what I’ve seen training new EMTs and working with Paramedics is that the people who are emotionally invested in their patients do not last long in the field. It is better to have an EMT/Paramedic who does their job well but doesn’t have any emotional investment in their patient. You still empathize with your patient while you’ve got them but that ends as soon as you transfer them to a bed in the hospital. Anyone who stays invested in that one person does a disservice to all future patients and to themselves.

Yeah exactly. I get upset if I feel I can’t do my job for someone but if my patient transfers to icu or dies cause they’re just sick and it’s not my fault then oh well. If it’s my fault? I’d be very upset. I dont understand why people think it’s wrong to benefit from helping others. It’s how our entire society works. I agree. So what if you get the Grinch and Max Dallas Cowboys Christmas tree football wordmask shirt but in fact I love this warm fuzziness, social credit, or even money for doing the right thing? If there is a genuine net benefit, then the world is better for it. I also am a little pissed people are more busy beefing with Mr. Beast than bitching specifically about politicians. So celebrities are supposed to cave to social pressures but it’s virtue signaling if you try and do the same to dirty politicians and governments?
