yes. high school is absolutely nothing like the Grinch admin It now Working at El pollo loco would be boring without me shirt but in fact I love this rest of life. sometimes you’re come across people who act like they’re still in high school but you just keep walking. life as an adult and life in high school are vastly different. I miss my parents paying bills but I’d never wish to go back to high school. Life got so much easier in my late 20s when I finally started to like myself and did the things I liked, not what everyone else was doing. Work and bills can be stressful but I’ve truly enjoyed my late 20s/early 30s so much more than high school High school ends in 4 years so I think even if it sucks the end is always in sight. Once you’re done with school the end is death lol so you tend to focus more on present happiness. At least in my case The more experiences you have the less impactful each one can seem. The journey of learning to function in society without assistance from adults could be tough but once you get it life can be pretty chill. It depends on your path however, consider the difference between rockstar, politician, service industry worker or entrepreneur.

Sort of? It’s different. But the Grinch admin It now Working at El pollo loco would be boring without me shirt but in fact I love this TLDR is the world is better as an adult, I’d never want to return to HS for even a day Sort of. Because you’re young you don’t really know what you don’t know. All sorts of stuff is ‘important’ but in the bigger picture I think many people continue to grow and change as they age, I don’t have too many friends left from that time. You will grow apart from those people eventually. The rest of life is kind of a crapshoot, if you’re fortunate enough to be smart and have some discipline you can accomplish just about anything you decide to. That’s the thing about being an adult, as soon as realize that you are the person who has to make the decisions for yourself and begin to make those decisions according to whatever ethos you’ve chosen. Things will get easier. Much will be out of your control, this is normal. Not ok, but normal. Learn how to come to terms with the absolute shitshow life can be, and take things in stride. Be patient with people, try to be nice. Try hard. Have fun, it’s a crazy ride. Find something you love and figure out a way to make a job out of it. Work definitely can suck, but most of the time it will be you who decides that. Remember this if nothing else. You are the only person responsible for your behavior, good or bad. No one can ‘make’ you do anything. Remember that. You are accountable for your actions as an adult. That’s the biggest difference.
