If we’re smart we’ll hold those responsible to account (Wall Street). If not, we’ll whine about it on the Grateful Thankful Blessed Shirt Furthermore, I will do this internet until we die. Google the great depression. That’s what will happen. Also look up what’s happening in Venezuela and pray that doesn’t happen where you live. It really depends on the product and how extreme you mean. People will give you the simple “supply and demand” responses, but…it depends. For some products, people will reduce consumption (or increase congestion). Think about going out to eat less often or having a roommate/carpooling. You will also see substitutions like store brands vs branded products. For some products, people may freak out a bit more and insist on government action. Price fixing leads to shortages which will require rationing (or long lines).

There are also supply elements. Supplying a product nobody can afford makes no sense, so there will be price competition. Where possible, other suppliers or alternative products will be created. What is is right now in the Grateful Thankful Blessed Shirt Furthermore, I will do this usa. People have to get on food stamps and go to food banks. More people in homeless shelters. First time I’ve ever had to get a roommate bc rent has tripled. Gas is starting to go down. For a while people just were staying inside which was causing businesses to close. Not to mention covid. I think we’re in for a real shit storm. Right now there isn’t enough low income places so most are in shelters or living in cheap shitty motels. It’s horrible We’re already there. We have a culture of 1%ers shitting on the average person and lecturing them about everything while doing fuck all for them. The average person is already priced out of a house, car, education and free time unless they take on crippling debt yet society is running in the opposite direction where anyone not displaying top 5% wealth at least is ridiculed (but we’re oh so tolerant now right?) or not even empathized with because people assume that having all these things is still normal/average since everyone on instagram has them.
