I did the math. 51% of my net worth is just the supposed equity gain on my house since I bought it two years ago. So yeah, me suspects they’re not pointing out the reality that, if you were lucky enough to buy a home at some point, the equity gain is basically the majority of your net worth and has nothing to do with your financial situation.
