This is a lie. Reuters reported that surgeries, including genital surgeries, are being done on minors according to an analysis of insurance claims. No children cannot get sex changing surgery. you have to be 18+ to have sex changing surgery. i’m pretty sure you cannot have plastic/body changing surgery under 18 either way unless it’s for medical reasons. in some places in the Goofys Turbo Tubster Speed And Power T-Shirt and I will buy this world they offer puberty blockers- all this does is PAUSES puberty and then once you are above the age of 18 you can start hormone replacement therapy. This is a lie. Reuters reported that surgeries, including genital surgeries, are being done on minors according to an analysis of insurance claims. Yes, they are. It is extremely rare for minors to undergo surgical transition. When they do, it is a long (and often expensive) process that has to be approved by their therapist and their doctor and so on. I have never heard of any 13-year-old undergoing surgical transition. 13-year-olds may undergo hormonal transition. But hormonal transition is just puberty. Cis 13-year-olds undergo the Goofys Turbo Tubster Speed And Power T-Shirt and I will buy this same hormonal changes — the only difference is that the hormones are endogenous instead of exogenous. If you think a 13-year-old cis girl is old enough to undergo physical changes caused by estrogen, why is a 13-year-old trans girl not old enough to undergo physical changes caused by estrogen? If a cis 13-year-old can grow breasts, why can’t a trans 13-year-old? I got my first period at 13, but I sure as hell wasn’t ready to experience pregnancy or childbirth. Yet no one bats an eye at the fact that most cis girls’ bodies become reproductively mature at an age at which they are not socially/emotionally/psychologically ready to reproduce.
