Not really, for me it’s just more the Goga Bitadze Georgian professional basketball player T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this anticipation. I just stare at something in the other direction and make quiet, probably moan-like/whimper-like noises until it’s over… I fucking hate them, but I got 4 in the past 2 months done, and for 2 of them, they had to stick me twice in that one appointment. So, no, not really that bad. More of a very tiny pinch, then just the feeling of the needle inside of you. It personally bothers me, but it’s over before you know it, and it just leaves your arm a bit sore when bending for like a lil bit (assuming you get it in the crease of the inside of your elbow, which is I think the way most get it). I was mortified the first time I had to get mine done, and personally I asked if they could just chat to me as they did it – in hopes of it distracting me – and it did! It’s an odd feeling at first, but from my experience, the build up was a trillion times worse than how it ended up being.

Sadly I can’t tell you how much it will hurt you as everyone is different but typically it is like a sharp scratch. Some tips to help it go a bit smoother, eat something before hand (unless you have been told not to), drink plenty if you can (ideally water), try to keep warm (cold veins are unhappy veins) and if you are nervous tell the Goga Bitadze Georgian professional basketball player T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this person taking your blood. I used to be a nurse and I always appreciated people telling me if they were nervous because then I could prepare for it and try my best to distract them. I hope it goes okay! (Remember it is a quick procedure and the actual ‘painful part’ is over in seconds). Venous blood draws are a bit painful, like getting a shot. Arterial blood draws are very painful.
